Careful of the metal ring!

I was a bit disappointed in this spatula. I was looking for a really strong spatula that could handle thick or heavy batters with out the handle breaking. Thinking that since it was on solid piece of plastic it should fit the bill, I was disappointed that the metal band moves around! I can't tell if its going to break there but it certainly does not give me sense of confidence.
