Happy fix

Great product. Very easy to install. Blender now just like new. Very happy to find this product via Amazon. I saved a lot of money fixing my old blender rather than buying a new one.

Exact replacement; works great.

Wife complained of blender failure after packing it with large ice cubes. After calm discussion about proper loading, referring to previous calm discussions about dishwasher loading, appropriate garbage disposal items, etc., I took a look at it and quickly noted that this rubbery coupling thing was stripped down to little nubs. I was absolutely amazed to find that the replacement part was: 1. readily available, and 2. reasonably priced. Not only that, you don't need any special tools to replace it (they designed it so you can basically pry the old one off without destroying anything.)
Highest rating. Not least because it will avoid any more calm discussions. On this subject, anyway.

Yes it fits KSB5's older style blenders

This part number 9704230 does work on the older style blenders, mine is KSB5BU and this coupling fit just fine. See youtube on how to remove, very easy. The 2-pack is actually 2 separate packages.
