Good replacement cord. It was advertised for a model K-5. Actually was made for a model K-5A. I was able to adapt the motor connections to fit the K-5.

Saved me lots of money!

I accidentally cut my Kitchenaid cord in half after it fell off the counter while kneading bread and got caught on the food processor blade I hadn't properly put away. Needless to say, I was looking for a new mixer before someone suggested I just buy a replacement cord.
This cord works wonderfully, and I was able to install it myself, which is always a plus.

Does not fit all K5 models

The description says that this cord is for older Kitchenaid model mixers, including K5 models. I have two K5-A model mixers so ordered two of these cords. The K5-A model does not have the attach points these cords were designed for. Either the cord and/or the mixer will need modification if the new cords can be salvaged. Since the non-refundable shipping was as much as the cords, it doesn't make sense for me to return them. It is a waste of money to order these for a K5-A model mixer.
