Very pretty! But...

This item is cute. I thought with "Kitchenaid" I couldn't go wrong. This is a wonderful beater. Does the job well with thinner batters. Unfortunately I like to make cake alot, like pound cake. The thickness of these batters is just a little too much for this little beater. It slows down and speeds up during use, and on the box it's called an "energy saver". Truth is, it just slows down in thick batter because there's not enough power to push the beaters! Felt like chanting "I think I can, I think I can"...
Bottom line, if you're looking for something to make cookie batter, dough, etc., this is not the toy for you.

Fantastic Mixer...In Pink!!!

This mixer is strong but light and does a fabulous job with all of my mixing and baking needs. I absolutely love the color...a very feminine touch! I researched mixers before purchasing and have had this mixer for about two years now. I use it about once or twice a month and have never had any issue with it, except that my husband chuckles when he uses "my" pink mixer! :) Highly recommend this product for a handheld mixer.

Beaters came apart

I loved Kitchen Aid, loved this mixer until the beaters literally came apart in the middle while mixing a regular cake. I contacted Kitchen Aid and they told me since it was over a year old they wont replace the beaters.... poor customer service in my opinion. I have an OLD Sunbeam hand mixer that has help up better than this one.
