Repairing a kitchen aid

A must need part for repairing my kitchen aid pro600 mixer. This part wears out when the bushing wears out in my overworked mixer. It has been replaced a few times. I'm very thankful that it can be bought and replaced instead of having to buy a new mixer

After my wife's KitchenAid mixer had issues, we thought we would have to replace the entire unit. Rather than pay $500, I took a chance on repairing it. It was actually quite simple, but you will need snap ring pliers to complete the job. Even with buying an 8 in 1 snap ring plier set, the entire repair cost me less than $20. (Parts, pliers, grease and shipping and handling.) It's really simple to replace this beveled gear, but make sure you get all the old metal shavings out of the case.

Beveled gear

I replaced this in my 5 qt lift KitchenAid stand mixer and now it works great. I re-lubed it up and the machine works beautifully. I did replace the Gear 9706529 as well. Easy to install. I watched a youtube video on how to do it.
