Whirlpool factory certified part

This is a metal part. It has a very good enamel coating on it, which actually makes it look like a plastic part. The rubber edge feels and works like a long lasting rubber part. It is stiff to scrape the edges of the bowl. My bowl is the 6 quart stainless steel bowl for the Professional 600 model stand mixer. I am very pleased with the functionality of this product. The quality is definitely Kitchenaid.

Exactly what I needed

This product is exactly what I wanted for thorough scraping of the sides of my 6 QT bowl. I gave a lot of thought to buying this item vs. the competitor model with rubber edges on both sides but chose this one because it is genuine Kitchenaid and there seemed to be problems with the other one breaking. I'm very happy with my choice. The one-sided rubber is no problem at all because of the way it rotates around the bowl. I'm completely satisfied with the product, my only suggestion would be that it should come standard with every mixer rather than being an accessory. This is the item that makes my mixer work the way it should and since it's a top of the line mixer with a high price tag I do feel some resentment that I need to shell out even more $$ to get an extra item to make my mixer work it's best.

This was a great idea.....but it has its moments and depending on what your mixing, sometimes it doesn't get all the sides. So from time to time I have to stop and scrap the bowl. Still use it all the time depending on what I am mixing.
