5Perfect for the price!
By L. DONOVAN
I just bought this model for $59.00 at Ocean State Job Lot. I wanted to try it out a couple times before I wrote a review. I already own a Breadman Bread Maker (which I love for over 6 months now and it was the least expensive bread maker) so I really just needed a stand alone mixer vs. the hand mixer I have had for years. However, I first mixed a batch of bread dough, 4 cups of flour in size, and yes I had to help it with the spatula, no big deal, and it did wobble a bit on the stand. I noticed a little smoke, hardly noticeable, and if you read the instruction manual it says that this can occur when it is new and is perfectly normal. It sure beat mixing bread dough by hand! Today I made a large batch of oatmeal chocolate chip peanut butter cookies and it worked perfectly. Yes, I did have to scrape the sides along the way, but so what. No wobble. For $59.00 it is way better than holding a hand held mixer and trying to do it. Some people who had trouble with the bowl not turning I believe was because they had the lever in the wrong setting. There is a big and small bowl setting, and it makes a difference. The smaller bowl is a special order, which I think I will get for smaller needs, i.e. whipped cream. For the price it is perfect. If I was going to make large batches of bread dough this would not be enough of a machine, not because of power but because of the way it mixes compared to KitchenAid. But for a one loaf size or pizza dough it works fine. I will update more later with more use. If you read the reviews on the KitchenAid mixers you will find people who have defective machines and are unhappy, and at a price of over $300.00!

2Rusty Beaters
By Brady
Beaters began rusting after first washing. Sunbeam Customer Service said they would send replacements under warranty, but sent dough hooks by mistake. Called back, and had them send the correct part. A few weeks later, received replacement beaters: they are 3/4 of an inch shorter than the originals and won't mix contents in the bottom of the bowl. Called Customer Service again. Their response: "Sorry they don't work for you, but those are the only ones we have." After one washing, they're rusting, too. "Caveat emptor."

5I really love this thing
By Army Wife
I am so surprised that so many people do not like this. I bought this solely to make fondant. I got tired of kneading with my hands and getting really sticky so I wanted something to do it for me. I really, really wanted the Kitchen Aid mixer but I could not see myself spending over $200 for it. Anyway, this does the job. It mixes all my fondant ingredients well to the consistency I desire.I use the dough hooks to mix my fondant. It does not get stuck at all. I have had this for a month now and have used it several times. To make sure my ingredients are mixed, I alternate between the mixing of the inner and outer switch. Well worth the money!
