Product Description
New Metro Design’s beater blade is an electric mixer attachment which thoroughly mixes batter, eliminating the need to stop and scrape the bowl manually. Model ka-thr fits all kitchenaid tilt head mixers regardless of the kitchenaid model numbers. Beater blades are engineered for use with top brand electric stand mixers, including most models offered by kitchenaid, cuisinart, delonghi and viking. A beater blade attachment beats, scrapes, folds and incorporates ingredients thoroughly for fool-proof baking. The new beater blade+ ingeniously improves on the functionality of standard v-shaped beaters offered with high-end stand mixers by crafting a high-quality, enhanced blade that includes a flexible rubber wing down the entire length of both sides of the blade. The durable, food-grade edging simulates the action of a powerful spatula to gently, yet thoroughly scrape the bowl clean. The wing-system design acts like a wiper blade that continuously scrapes sides and bottom of bowl while it mixes virtually eliminating hand-scraping and batter build-up on the blade. Beater blade’s state-of-the-art design continuously and automatically scrapes batters during mixing, which can speed up the process by as much as 50-percent. By eliminating the need to turn off and on the mixer to scrape the bowl, beater blade reduces wear of the motor of the mixer, as well. New Metro Design’s beater blade excels in a full range of mixing applications, including creaming butter, sugar and eggs to fluffy perfection, and preparing frostings and pastry creams quickly and easily. Red colored blades.

Great Product
By madras650
I love this product. I rated it 4 stars because the part that attaches to the beater is plastic and mine did crack.
In all fairness, I used this product A LOT. I have a home baking business and my beater blade got a lot of use. Much more than a normal person that does not bake for a living. I got my money's worth and then some. So I have to buy another one, so what!
It works great at scraping the bowl. I NEVER have to turn off the mixer to scrape. Now, you cannot use this for extremely heavy doughs. It works great with cake mixes, frosting's, fillings, cookie etc.
I did also purchase the SIDE SWIPE blade because the part that attaches to the beater is metal. But the fins are EXTREMELY hard to clean off. I mean to get all of your batter off between the blades was difficult. Also the fins are breaking off.
In Conclusion, I WILL be buying another Beater Blade, because of the ease of cleaning off my batter. It is much more user friendly than the Side Swipe

Make sure you are buying the right model.
By John Chavous
From reading various reviews it seems that there is a pattern with many of the low rated reviews. Many are saying that this paddle is shorter than the one which came with their 5-quart Kitchenaid mixer. I'm going to type this in Capitals so that people who are skimming will notice it: IF YOU PURCHASE THIS BEATER AND FIND THAT IT IS AN INCH SHORTER THAN YOUR ORIGINAL BEATER, YOU PURCHASED THE WRONG MODEL. THIS MODEL IS FOR USE IN 5-QUART KITCHENAID STAND MIXERS WITH TILT-HEADS ONLY. 5-QUART BOWL-LIFT MODELS REQUIRE A DIFFERENT VERSION.
Once again, there are two 5-quart beaters available. One is for tilt-head models and the other is for lift-bowl models. Be certain you are buying the correct version.

love it! make sure you adjust the beater height before use
By K. O. Harrison
I used this throughout my holiday baking season and beyond. I love it! As others have mentioned, make sure you get the right one (tilt head vs lift; 5 qt v 6 qt; etc, etc....)
ALSO>>>>>__Read the directions__, you will need to ___adjust the height___ for the beater. Read your instruction manual but on tilt head mixers, there is a little screw that you may have never noticed inside the neck of the mixer, you need to turn this as directed to adjust the height to make the new beater reach the bowl correctly, too low and you can damage your mixer and/or blade, too high and you won't be mixing anything! :)
Hope this helps! I love it and am not likely to use my old blade again :D
