5Mixes great!
By JessicaD
My mom got this mixer for Christmas and it works great. Since we have had it, we have made chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal cookies. Both came out delicious. Love this product because of its vibrant red and because of how easy it is to use. The beaters attach and detach easy. The speed is easily adjusted. The slow is slow enough when adding in the sugars. Also, we were wondering if the 3.4 lbs was going to be too much to hold but, it isn't. Another great feature is that it can rest on the counter while you add in more ingredients. I highly recommend this hand mixer from KitchenAid.

3Falls short of expectations
By JCW
I own a Kitchenaid stand mixer. In fact it is my second one. I love it and have no complaints. So when purchasing this I had high expectations and purchased it because it is Kitchenaid. I bought it to replace a $20 Cooks brand. Unfortunately the Kitchenaid hand mixer falls short of my expectations. There seems to be very little difference in the five speeds. When you do put it on its highest speed it feels much more like a medium speed in other mixers. There just isn't enough power. I don't think I'll use it for much more than mixing cake mixes because I don't think it will be powerful enough to handle cookie dough, mashed potatoes, etc. I'm a little disappointed and wish I hadn't thrown away its packaging and receipt or I would have exchanged it. That $20 Cooks has so much more power.

2Not what I expected.
By Chong Vang
It's a beautiful equipment, but I thought with all the good review it would be amazing. The highest speed was more like a medium speed, there wasn't enough speed for my meringue. So I felt my $10 hand mixer did a better job.
