5Kitchenaid 11 Spoke Wire Whip Plus
By Beth
Great Whip. Is worth the extra cost to upgrade to this whip. It is far superior to the regular whip which comes as a standard attachment with the 6 quart Professional Kitchenaid Mixer. This whip SHOULD be the whip included with the mixer. There is no comparison between this whip and the standard one. Kitchenaid should charge a bit more for the mixer and replace the regular whip with this one, since they are unlikely to do that any time soon it is worth buying.

5Whip it good.

Dont use this unless you are truly ready for the cream or merangue. It has the ability to whip 3 times as fast and even produces better results overall. Well worth the money to upgrade.

5Bought one as a replacement part, couldn't be happier.

Definitely an improvement on the model included with the professional series mixers. I ended up purchasing this due to the attachments on my mixer going through the dishwasher (oops); I was pleasantly surprised that, in addition to being exactly what I needed (a replacement whisk) that the shape and design of this whisk was a great upgrade. Despite the size, it does a fine job whipping even small quantities of cream (or anything else you throw at it), and doesn't slow down with bowl-filling monstrosities.

I'm not convinced it's worth buying just as an upgrade to the OEM whisk, but as a spare or replacement, the piece is top-notch.
