Best Mixer Ever

I have had my original Bosch since about 1970. For years, I used to to make bread for a family of six every Saturday, not to mention the large batches of cookies required by four very active children. It still works wonderfully well, but my husband has recently become enamored of cinnamon rolls which he insists on baking himself. He is often called upon to be the "feature" at gatherings and has been carting my Bosch back and forth to our RV. I got tired of having to fetch it back, so bought myself a new one. This one works even better than the old one. I can only hope that it holds up as well.

Not a Machine for cookie dough

Purchased this machine back in November at a Baking show from a vendor. Told them I make cookies and wanted a bigger machine to handle double batches.
So far have stripped out 2 sets of cookie paddles. Very poor design in that the motor is way to powerful for the PLASTIC gears on the cookie paddles.
Contacted Vendor again after the 2nd set of paddles stripped out--was told that I could not return the machine for a 100% refund because it was used. (I used it TWICE) Even though it clearly doesn't do the job I intended it to do , and even though I was reassured it could the job I wanted it to do.
Bosch does not guarantee this product--L'Chef does (if you can call it that) they hold the sole distributorship to these mixers in the USA. Poor, poor customer service. Took me the better part of a week just to have the rep return my calls. They refuse to return my money.
Really sorry I purchased this machine. I hope that anyone that plans on using this for cookie dough will think twice about purchasing this machine--I wish I had known.

Bosch Universal is a serious heavy duty tool

This mixer makes light of heavy breads, whips up a batch of cookies, and is fun. I have no trouble with two-loaf batches. Cleanup is not bad, even if a bit of dough does get into the grooves. A brush gets it out. The cookie paddles are a nice addition.
