650W power!!
By Borik
got this one about a month ago for the price and power, primarily to mix / knead dough bread and use it every 2-3 days since.
fast delivery by Amazon!
very good manufacture's packaging!
solid metal attachments as well, as the bowl!
easy to operate - manufacturer suggest to get to any desire speed starting from speed 1 - just like in a car with a manual transmission.
mixes / kneads the dough easy.
has 1 year manufacture warranty.
and looks cool. :)
3.16.13. update 1:
I mix the 2.6 lb pizza dough (all-purpose flour) using the beater on speed 1 for about 20 sec., then I switch to speed 2 and mix for 2-3 minutes more, then I let the dough rest for 15 minutes, then I switch to the hook and knead the dough on speed 3 for about 7 minutes - it depends on the dough humidity and quantity, I think. :)
update 2: I purchased this mixer for 1 more reason - I like the bowl to be on my left, and the mixer controls on my right - I'm a right-handed man. :)

Lots of power!
By Fossil
I've only used this product for a couple of weeks but am quite impressed! It IS loud, but I don't care about that--it works! I haven't tried bread dough, but our sugar cookies have quite a stiff dough and it mixed them up easily! The suction on the bottom keeps it in place but also makes it hard to move. I'm thinking about mounting it on a board so I can move it around without having to break the suction every time. It's heavy, but it gets the job done! I'm quite pleased and feel that I got a good mixer for a fraction of the price of a Kitchen Aid.
I'm editing this review. Now I've used the mixer for a few months and still love it! I solved the problem of the suction cups by putting round labels on each of them. You really don't need the suction cups to hold it in place--it's heavy enough to hold itself.
I am not as impressed with the attachments (light weight) as I am with the mixer, but they suffice.

LOVE my new Stand Mixer!
By Cathie
I have been using hand mixers since I learned how to bake. I have always wanted a stand mixer but could never afford the $300-500 that most of the ones most Chefs recommend. I started looking on Amazon and found a whole bunch of stand mixers in the price range I could afford. This American Era is one of them.
My package arrived on time and it was packaged very well, very professional. After reading some reviews on the weight of the mixer, I was still surprised that I could not lift the huge box it was shipped in. The mixer itself weighs alot, but added packing made it heavier. The UPS guy used a hand truck to get it to my door!
I took a few days to unpack it and then a few more to decide what to make. I finally made Blueberry Buckle with Struesel last night. It is a simple batter so this was an easy one. The attachment I used worked great, no issues. The bowl was plenty big for this job and I have no doubt it will be large enough for double, even triple batches. This machine is quite loud. My hand mixer was loud so I wasn't scared by it, but it is louder then my hand mixer for sure! NOT a deal breaker for me. My Blueberry Buckle came out great! I wasn't tired from mixing. This made baking SO much easier! It was simple to change out the attachments. There is a dial you turn to turn the mixer upright so you can change them and take the bowl out.
The only thing I might change with this mixer is the bowl. I feel the bowl it comes with is plenty big - but I would like to have a smaller bowl so I could use it for smaller batches. That is the only thing I can think of to make my experience better. This has a 650 watt motor - almost DOUBLE the expensive ones! LOTS of power! It "Only" has 4 speeds - but with 650 watts who needs more!?
All in all - I feel that this is a great stand mixer. If you don't have one and can't afford one of the super expensive ones -give this a try - you won't be disappointed. Definitely worth the price, in my opinion!
